Free RDP Ubuntu 20.04

Free RDP Ubuntu 20.04 - Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa). Version numbers are always stylized because of YY.MM and LTS stand for Long Term Support, which guarantees five years of free security updates and maintenance. Focal Fossa is a biennial (every biennial) LTS release. The previous LTS release was 18.04 (Bionic Beaver).

Advantages of Ubuntu 20.04

Ubuntu Has a User-Friendly Interface

Until now, according to experience with friends around, Ubuntu is famous for having an interface that is difficult to use and is only devoted to developers. This assumption needs to be changed. Ubuntu has an easy-to-use and customizable interface.

Ubuntu packs its features through an easily accessible menu. Even users with basic computer knowledge can use Ubuntu and access its features easily. The interface, apart from being easy to use, also has an elegant design and is no less beautiful than that offered by a paid OS.

Free Ubuntu

Downloading, installing, and using Ubuntu doesn't cost a penny. Therefore, many educational and government organizations from around the world are using Ubuntu to reduce operational costs. There are also many applications, provided in the Ubuntu Software Center or on the official website, which can be downloaded for free.

Users can download Ubuntu via Canonical's official website, which can be accessed via the following link. As of this writing, the last LTS version of Ubuntu was Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. The next LTS version, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, will be released in April 2022.

Ubuntu Has an 'Ubuntu Software Center'

The conventional way to install applications on Ubuntu is to use a command code in the Terminal. Now, users can also download and install applications through the Ubuntu Software Center. It is similar to the Microsoft Store on Windows, or the Play Store on Android.

The way the Ubuntu Software Center works is also similar to other app stores. Users can download and install apps directly from within the app store. For basic use, Ubuntu comes with several built-in applications, such as Gimp for photo editing, Mozilla Firefox as the default browser, and VLC for playing media.

Ubuntu Has Multiple Compatibility

The latest version of Ubuntu is now equipped with various device drivers to provide different compatibility. This allows Ubuntu to run well on many more different devices, both old and newer hardware.

Ubuntu Has Many Variants

Ubuntu offers many variants defined by its desktop environment (DE). In addition to the default variant that now uses the Gnome DE, other popular variants include Lubuntu which uses LXDE, Kubuntu which uses KDE, and Xubuntu which uses Xfce as its desktop environment.

The existence of various variants allows users to be able to choose a variant that is more in line with taste. Each variant offers a different interface design to provide a more impressive Ubuntu experience.

Ubuntu Has a Supportive Community

The user community that uses Ubuntu is, in my experience, quite supportive. A supportive community can help users solve problems they are currently facing with Ubuntu.

Ubuntu Has Low System Requirements

Ubuntu has two special variants, Lubuntu and Xubuntu, which are specially designed for low-spec devices. Even so, the default variant of Ubuntu also does not require a high-spec device to run it. Ubuntu system requirements include a 700 MHz processor, 512 MB RAM, and 5 GB of storage space.

Ubuntu Safe from Virus

Linux, including one of its distributions, Ubuntu, is known to be safe from virus threats, but that doesn't mean it can't be infected or attacked. Even so, when compared to Windows, Ubuntu, according to experience, is more reliable in warding off viruses.

The built-in protection methods and Firewall that Ubuntu offers ensure users are protected. Users no longer need to purchase and install additional antivirus applications, as is usually the case when using a paid OS, such as Windows or macOS.

Ubuntu is Open Source

Ubuntu, as mentioned earlier, is open-source software. There are many advantages that open source software offers.

Trying Ubuntu Before Installing It

Ubuntu provides users with the option to try it out before it is installed. Most Linux distributions also offer it. This feature is usually named Live CD, but the name is sometimes different, according to the Linux distro being used.

To run the Live CD on Ubuntu, users need to download the installation ISO file first. Then, the user needs to scan the ISO file via a USB flash drive, CD, or other supported device.
